About The Position
Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
- BLS required for all–Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
- None for Med/Surg and Behavioral Health (minimum experience)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg (preferred experience)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department (for RN in Behavioral Health)
- Behavioral Health-Non-Violet Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position
