New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) - ER
About The Position
The Registered Nurse I/RN I assumes principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Emergency Department patients. Additionally, the Registered Nurse I/ RN I initiates patient teaching and educates the family or significant other to attain optimal health. The Registered Nurse I/ RN I uses effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels and maintains positive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians. The Registered Nurse I/ RN I continues in a mentor relationship with a designated RN, and works toward independent practice and growth educationally in the Emergency Department.
Requirements
- California Registered Nurse/RN License
- BLS/CPR
- Basic Computer Skills
- ACLS within three (3) months of hire
- PALS within three (3) months of hire
- AB-508 Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within six (6) months of hire
Nice To Haves
- MICN (after one year of employment as an RN)
- ED Triage Course (after one year of employment as an RN)
Responsibilities
