The Nursing Graduate works under the direct line-of-sight supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in the clinical setting and participates appropriately in patient care delivery. The graduate orients to the RN assignment but does not provide independent nursing care. Medication administration may be included under the direction and supervision of the licensed RN. The Nursing Graduate position may be used for up to 12 weeks while the employee participates in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program and prepares for, takes, and passes the State Boards examination to obtain an RN license. The role supports supervised patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation, and patient/family education. The employee is expected to achieve RN licensure in a timely manner and complete orientation, training, and the Nursing Residency program. The listed hourly range is $32.27–$32.27, with actual hourly rate dependent on experience. The posting also lists rates of $32.27 for Nursing Grad and $35.22 for New Grad RN.
