About The Position

Joseph J. Magnolia (“JJM”) is currently seeking experienced plumbers to join our New Construction team. This role involves the installation, modification, and repair of commercial plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures on active construction projects. A $2,000 signing bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in new construction commercial plumbing.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, piping, and equipment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Experience with installation, testing, and repair of plumbing systems in commercial settings.
  • Detail-oriented with strong commitment to code compliance and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to provide a detailed resume with verifiable industry references.
  • Must be computer literate and comfortable using email and basic software tools.
  • Proficient in working in active construction environments, including outdoor and uneven surfaces.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with supervisors, coordinators, and other trades.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and able to manage changing jobsite conditions and priorities.
  • Accountable, ethical, and safety-focused at all times.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, layout, install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing and piping systems, including water, gas, sewer, steam, and hot water distribution systems.
  • Install and inspect plumbing fixtures, piping, valves, vents, pumps, supports, and related equipment in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Maintain accurate installation records to ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Promote and uphold jobsite safety standards and quality workmanship.
  • Select appropriate pipe materials, fittings, supports, hangers, and valves based on project requirements.
  • Cut, thread, assemble, and install various metal and nonmetal piping systems using hand tools and power tools.
  • Join piping systems using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, cemented, or mechanical connections.
  • Secure piping systems using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
  • Perform pressure testing and inspect systems for leaks and proper operation.
  • Verify pipe slopes, elevations, and alignments using lasers, levels, and transit equipment.
  • Assist with trenching, grading, and preparation work for underground piping installations.
  • Collaborate with project teams, supervisors, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
