About The Position

Parkway is seeking an experienced, full-time New Car Sales Manager to lead its Pampa new-vehicle business. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader responsible for developing salespeople, working directly with customers, managing inventory, and driving profitable growth. This role requires comfort with coaching on the showroom floor, structuring deals, and utilizing performance reports for daily action. Parkway is a growing automotive group with six stores across Pampa and Houston, offering an opportunity to grow your career and contribute to the development of their Ford and CDJR businesses.

Requirements

  • Prior automotive sales management experience with demonstrated new-vehicle sales results.
  • Ability to develop salespeople, structure deals, and manage customer relationships.
  • Working knowledge of new vehicle inventory, manufacturer incentives, and dealership sales processes.
  • Strong coaching, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret operating reports and translate findings into action.
  • Experience with dealership CRM and DMS platforms.
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Tekion experience is a plus.
  • Ford or CDJR experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily new vehicle sales activity and establish clear expectations.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and coach sales consultants.
  • Conduct focused sales meetings, product training, and one-on-one performance reviews.
  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals for sales volume, gross profit, appointments, and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in customer introductions, demonstrations, negotiations, and closing.
  • Build a professional team that follows through on commitments.
  • Structure and desk deals within approved pricing and management guidelines.
  • Ensure pricing, incentives, trade figures, and customer proposals are accurate.
  • Coordinate trade appraisals with designated management.
  • Work closely with F&I to support complete documentation and smooth deliveries.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Follow transactions through delivery and help clear outstanding items.
  • Review inventory mix, aging, days’ supply, incoming units, and sales pace.
  • Recommend actions to improve inventory turn while protecting profitability.
  • Participate in ordering, allocation of reviews, and dealer trades as assigned.
  • Maintain working knowledge of manufacturer incentives and program requirements.
  • Ensure advertised pricing, vehicle descriptions, photos, and availability are accurate.
  • Coordinate with Service and Parts on vehicle preparation and accessories.
  • Ensure showroom, phone, and internet opportunities receive timely follow-up.
  • Review appointments, unsold customers, overdue tasks, and inactive opportunities.
  • Coach salespeople on effective customer communication and accurate CRM documentation.
  • Coordinate with marketing and internet personnel to convert inquiries into showroom visits and sales.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and track progress against goals.
  • Review sales volume, gross profit, closing rates, salesperson productivity, inventory aging, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement specific corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate deal records and coordinate with Accounting and F&I to resolve discrepancies.
  • Present results and action plans to the General Manager.
