About The Position

Globe Life is looking for a New Business Specialist to join the team! In this role, you will support the accurate and timely processing of new insurance business. You will receive, review, code, scan, and track applications and supporting documents submitted through mail, fax, email, and secure file transfer. You will also verify that applications are complete, maintain application status reports, process exception reports, and prepare correspondence and policy materials for distribution. This is an on-site position located in McKinney, Texas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, with the ability to complete work accurately and on schedule.
  • Ability to review information, exercise sound judgment, and make logical decisions independently.
  • Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to remain focused and productive.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team environment.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift.
  • Ability to work full time and/or part time based on the position specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience in a role requiring a similar skill set preferred.
  • Insurance industry or office administration experience preferred.
  • Completion of LOMA 281 and Business Email Etiquette courses.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, print, and code applications submitted through mail, fax, email, and secure file transfer protocol (SFTP).
  • Review applications for completeness and verify that all required forms and supporting documents have been received.
  • Enter application information into the appropriate tracking system.
  • Scan, index, and enter applications and supporting documents before and after data entry, as required.
  • Route applications for data entry and scanning and complete the associated drop files.
  • Review pending and exception reports, maintain accurate records, and update application notes.
  • Review and sort incoming mail, faxes, and underwriting correspondence for the New Business team.
  • Log and sort checks and cash received with applications.
  • File and mail correspondence to agents and clients.
  • Assemble, print, and mail policy materials to clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
