About The Position

The New Business Specialist accurately processes and enters new business applications, verifies documentation, and ensures compliance with company and state requirements. This role collaborates with team members to support efficient policy issuance and provide exceptional service to the customers and families we serve.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of LOMA Principles and Operations courses within two years of employment.
  • One or more years of experience in general office support including data entry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with LifePro or other insurance administration systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process new business applications through a paperless workflow queue.
  • Review insurance applications and related documentation to accurately enter data into company systems.
  • Verify data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and state requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information, and documentation issues during the application review process.
  • Review legal and supporting documents to ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain the integrity of policyholder information and ensure underwriting activities are completed within company guidelines and established limits.
  • Participate in system enhancements, software utilization initiatives, and technology related projects that support policy administration processes.
  • Communicate relevant information and status updates with team members and management.
  • Assist with reviewing procedures, identifying process improvement opportunities, and implementing changes that enhance efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Maintain production records and adhere to all recordkeeping requirements, controls, and departmental standards.
  • Support team objectives and contribute to a collaborative, customer focused work environment.
