About The Position

Amhil North America is a privately held Thermoforming Plastics Packaging company focused on delivering Best Value to our customers and partners. We provide smart, safe and sustainable packaging solutions for the consumer, industrial and foodservice industries in North America and Europe. Over the past twenty years, Amhil has expanded its product offering to include drinking cups, portion cups and food packaging and now includes products that are 100% recyclable, produced with recycled content and available as carbon neutral. Amhil North America is a member of the Wentworth Technologies group of companies. This role will play a key role in driving sales growth within the assigned region. This position requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in developing new business, particularly in the food service, supermarket, and food processor packaging industry. This is a new customer acquisition role that requires a proactive sales professional who can identify, qualify, and win new business opportunities within National QSRs, Convenience Stores (C-Stores), and Packer/Processor organizations.

Requirements

Post-secondary education (Business degree preferred).
5+ years of proven new business development experience in the foodservice or food packaging industry.
Demonstrated success in prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
Established network and strong relationships within the packaging, supermarket, foodservice, and food processing sectors.
Results-driven with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Ability to quickly identify and capitalize on business development opportunities.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, cold calling, industry research, relationship building, CRM management, solution-based selling, and sales performance analysis.
Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activity, and share relevant insights with customers and internal teams to support business growth and strengthen customer relationships.
Develop new business at new customers within the Canadian Foodservice packaging market.
Identify and engage prospective Foodservice customers through cold outreach, lead generation, market research, and relationship building to create new business opportunities.
Participate in the development of strategic Sales and Marketing Plans including Pricing Strategies and Trade Spend and make recommendations based on market insights and knowledge.
Effectively manage across the sales cycle, leveraging a robust pipeline and sales tools.
Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing business.
Follow and understand industry trends and developments as well as competitive activity.
Continuously develop and refine sales expertise, product knowledge, and industry awareness to maximize performance and customer value.
