About The Position
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Department of Neurosurgery. The Neurosurgery team at Bassett Medical Center has a strong relationship with the University of Rochester Medical Center and Columbia University for teaching, education, and resident involvement. Requirements
- National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification Required
- DEA Required
Nice To Haves
- Previous surgical experience preferred but not essential
Responsibilities
- See new and established patients in clinic
- Perform post-op visits
- Conduct telemedicine appointments
- Manage post-op patients on the floor
- First assist in the OR
