Neurosurgery NP/PA
About The Position
A locum tenens advanced practice provider is needed to provide neurosurgery coverage in Wausau, Wisconsin. The role includes inpatient rounding at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and outpatient clinic coverage at the Spine & Neurosciences clinic, with scheduled adult neurosurgery patients and a spine and neurosciences case mix. The position may also include telehealth services. Coverage is clinical only and is needed for a scheduling need, with an ASAP start and ongoing coverage. The schedule is flexible, with either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week. The provider will care for assigned inpatient patients and see approximately 8–10 patients per clinic day; inpatient rounding volume varies. The facility uses Epic EMR and provides clinic support from 1–2 RNs, 1–2 MAs, multiple office staff, and four employed PAs/NPs. Hospital privileges are required, and temporary privileges are available. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.
Requirements
- Experience in neurosurgery is required.
- BLS certification is required.
- Proficiency in Epic EMR.
- Ability to work as part of a team with employed NPs and PAs.
- Hospital privileges are required; temporary privileges are available.

Responsibilities
