About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Richmond, VA. The role involves providing clinical care in an inpatient setting, focusing on post-procedural daily care for neurosurgery patients. The coverage period is from December 2026 to April 2027, with a Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM shift schedule. The position is for supplemental coverage due to the reason for coverage being supplemental. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered. The patient demographics include adults and geriatrics, with a variable average daily volume. The facility uses the Epic EMR system. Temporary privileges are available, with a credentialing timeline of 120 days.

- Active Virginia License
- Active DEA Certification
- ACLS
- BLS

Responsibilities
- Provide post-procedural daily care to neurosurgery inpatients.
- Communicate with patients and families regarding treatment plans and education.
- Collaborate with attending neurosurgeons and employed NP.
- Document patient encounters in EPIC.
- Participate in discharge planning and multidisciplinary care coordination.
