Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider
About The Position
This Advanced Practice Provider (APP; nurse practitioner or physician assistant) will be an integral member of the Neurosciences team at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah—a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level I Trauma Center. In this role, you will partner closely with a neurosurgeon and another APP to provide care for patients with a broad range of neurosurgical conditions, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and tumors. Responsibilities include delivering care across the outpatient clinic and inpatient settings, as well as first-assisting in neurosurgical procedures in the operating room. In this position, you can expect to: Practice at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. Split time between the outpatient clinic and hospital, including: First-assisting in surgical cases, Inpatient rounding and consults, New patient and follow-up clinic visits. Work a 40-hours/week, with dedicated clinic and OR days. Provide call coverage in support of the neurosurgeon, approximately 5–6 days per month, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays (call in addition to standard 40-hours/week). Requirements
- APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- BLS certification and DEA
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
