The Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a board-certified neurosurgeon to join their academic practice serving the greater Milwaukee area and eastern Wisconsin. This role offers an opportunity to lead a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary spine practice within a leading academic health system. The Spine Care at MCW program is one of the earliest multi-disciplinary spine programs in the country and includes clinicians from Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Anesthesiology. The Department of Neurosurgery has a robust faculty and ACGME-accredited residency program, with CAST-accredited fellowships in various subspecialties. Froedtert Hospital (FMLH) is a quaternary academic medical center with high rankings and a large patient volume. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team primarily at MCW and FMLH, providing advanced surgical care for complex spinal disorders. This leadership opportunity involves contributing to MCW and the Neurosurgery Department's missions of clinical excellence, education, research, and community engagement. Specific goals include growing the surgical team, co-leading the multidisciplinary team, expanding collaborative relationships, developing telehealth and second opinion programs, and advancing training opportunities. Research opportunities are supported by dedicated staff and infrastructure.
