Performs, coordinates and monitors neuroscience testing to inpatient and outpatient populations. Maintains standards of the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers and adheres to the 7 customer behaviors. Adheres to hospital policies and professional standards, providing the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct and HIPAA Regulations. Completes documentation according to specific guidelines; Maintains supplies, equipment and work areas to be readily available when needed and reports any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department. Provide patient education on the Neurodiagnostic testing process and assist with any questions or concerns Assess each patient, utilize care principles in accordance with growth and development and age specific needs Implements Neurodiagnostic tests and procedures according to physician orders. Communicates to ordering physician completion of diagnostic testing and technician impression for final report. Analyzes Neurodiagnostic data and produces clear, concise reports for physicians to review Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Neurodiagnostic technology and best practices Maintain accurate records of patient data, procedures performed, and test results. Ensure patient safety and comfort during testing procedures.
