About The Position

QLI is seeking a skilled psychologist to join their comprehensive team that creates and delivers innovative, real-world rehabilitation programs for younger adults with brain and spinal cord injury. The ideal candidate will be passionate about client success, able to establish authentic rapport, and foster deep, trusting relationships within a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced system. This role involves providing clinical expertise and consultation for individuals with acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions, conducting and supervising neuropsychological evaluations, performing occasional outpatient evaluations, and providing supportive education and therapy services as part of the psychology department team. The position requires adherence to ethical codes, strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across the organization, a high degree of organization and attention to detail, and a strong interest in teamwork and research. Additionally, the role includes training pre-doctoral interns.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program
  • Current and unencumbered license in the State of NE or eligible to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season.
  • Must not have any condition or limitation that could pose a direct threat to self or others unless such threat can be eliminated by a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to pass a fitness assessment designated for this job title and perform all physical activities related to the position.
  • Regular attendance in your assigned role is an essential job function.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise and consultation for a population of diagnostic groups comprised of individuals with acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions.
  • Conduct and supervise neuropsychological evaluations for inpatient clients.
  • Perform occasional outpatient evaluations.
  • Provide supportive education and therapy services as a member of and in conjunction with the psychology department team.
  • Adhere to legal, professional, and ethical codes with respect to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams at all levels of the organization and relate to individuals of varying backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in collaborative teamwork and research with a high degree of effective interpersonal communication and leadership abilities.
  • Provide ongoing training to pre-doctoral intern(s) through QLI’s involvement with the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology.
