The Clinical Neuropsychologist, with NYS Psychology license, will provide comprehensive Neuropsychological assessment and related clinical services across New York locations, including Long Island, NYC/Brooklyn, and Westchester (Yonkers or New Rochelle), and support as needed to Northern New Jersey location (Fairfield) and as licensure allows. The role requires formal education (PhD or PsyD) and clinical training, clinical internship and post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology, and experience in Neuropsychological assessment (and cognitive remediation services preferred), including clinical interviewing, test selection and interpretation, diagnostic formulation, comprehensive report writing, and treatment plan development. The Neuropsychologist role requires specialization in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders affecting the brain/central nervous system. The role requires experience working with adult patients, although experience across the lifespan (5+ to geriatric patients) is a plus. Experience is required with neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease), traumatic brain injury, strokes, seizure disorders, and other medical, neurological, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental conditions. The Clinical Neuropsychologist will manage assigned evaluations, participate in clinical consultation and case review, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical team. The Neuropsychologist will consult with members of a multi-disciplinary clinical team as well as external referral sources to ensure the appropriate course of treatment. The Clinical Neuropsychologist will also supervise and lead/co-lead cognitive remediation group sessions for patients with cognitive impairment stemming from psychiatric, neurological, medical, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
