About The Position

Children’s Minnesota is seeking a skilled and compassionate pediatric neuropsychologist to join their Neurodevelopmental Services Program, which is part of the Mental Health Continuum. This program focuses on assessment, diagnosis, and care for children with various neurodevelopmental and medical conditions. The team includes psychologists, neuropsychologists, and developmental behavioral pediatricians, collaborating with other providers within the organization. Neuropsychological assessments are conducted on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses, with this role primarily based in Minneapolis. The position involves providing assessment and diagnostic services for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental, neurological, and psychological conditions. The neuropsychologist will conduct comprehensive evaluations, interpret results, and provide feedback to caregivers, referring providers, educational teams, and other stakeholders. A key aspect of this role will be working with the Pediatric Cardiovascular Program and Intensive Care Follow-up Clinics, following patients with conditions such as pediatric and congenital heart disease, and those with complex birth histories related to prematurity. The role also offers opportunities for research collaboration with the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcome Collaborative (CNOC).

Requirements

Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology (clinical, school or other appropriate area of psychology) from an accredited institution.
Completion of an APA-accredited internship.
Completion of a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology.
Licensed or license-eligible in Minnesota.
Experience with a wide range of pediatric populations and neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, genetic or other medical conditions impacting development).
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and report-writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

Board certification or eligibility in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Experience working in interdisciplinary or medical settings.

Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents with a variety of neurodevelopmental, neurological, and psychological conditions.
Synthesize and interpret assessment results.
Provide feedback and guidance to caregivers, referring providers, educational teams, and other stakeholders.
Work closely with the Pediatric Cardiovascular Program and Intensive Care Follow-up Clinics.
Follow patients from early childhood through young adulthood, including those with pediatric and congenital heart disease, and complex birth histories related to prematurity and other complications.
Engage in direct research collaboration with the Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcome Collaborative (CNOC).
