About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor or Lead Technologist, the Neurophysiology Technologist uses scalp and intracranially placed electrodes to perform long-term video EEG monitoring for patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, critical care, and other patient care areas. The role also performs monitoring in the operating room for electrocorticography (ECOG) and cortical stimulation studies, conducts sodium Amytal (Wada) testing, and injects radiopharmaceutical for seizure patients. Requirements

Graduate of a two-year electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation, or two years of college in a related field and/or equivalent formal training approved by the Medical Director.
Upon hire, hold national certification from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists.
Upon hire, hold National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Five years of experience in electroneurodiagnostics and evoked potential studies.
Two years of experience in long-term video EEG monitoring.
