About The Position

As a PRN Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in our Neuroscience Center, you’ll work to provide safe patient care and high-quality patient experiences. In this role, you can anticipate: One day per week (minimum) on-site outpatient neurology care. Competitive Compensation. Practicing at our Intermountain Health Butte Clinic. EPIC EMR utilization (system-wide). A successful provider in this role will have prior neurology APP experience and will be able to work independently.

Requirements

  • Active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) License by the MT State Board.
  • Prescriptive Authority by the MT state board of Nursing or Medical Examiners and DEA License.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS Certification within 6 months of employment (site specific).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment.
  • Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including Microsoft and Google products.
  • The ability to learn new applications relevant to your position.
  • Passion for Neurology.
  • Prior neurology APP experience.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe patient care and high-quality patient experiences.
  • Work independently in an outpatient neurology setting.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and care.
  • Communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
  • Understand and use computers, including Microsoft and Google products.
  • Learn new applications relevant to the position.
  • See and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Verbally communicate and hear/understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Document patient care, access needed information, and prepare medications using computers.
  • Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
  • Bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
  • Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
  • Push/pull gurneys and portable equipment.
  • Navigate crowded and busy rooms.
  • Stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
