About The Position

The Faculty Employment Coordinator assists with the successful recruitment of faculty and coordinates all aspects of faculty recruiting to ensure candidates are introduced to the organization in a professional and positive manner. The role interacts with Department and Divisional Chairs’ Offices, Human Resources, the School of Medicine, MCVP, other Department Chair Offices, and Health System Leadership.

The coordinator handles interview and recruitment-related activities for identified faculty candidates, completes other project work as assigned, and must be willing to travel between facilities as needed. The role serves adults.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in Human Resources, customer service, or secretarial/administrative work.
• Previous experience using a personal computer, Microsoft Office applications, and email calendaring.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel between facilities as needed.
• Ability to lift less than 20 pounds.
• Strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, clear speaking, legible writing, reading, and logical thinking.
• Ability to work in fast- and steady-paced environments, handle multiple priorities and frequent, intense customer interactions, and adapt to frequent change.

Nice To Haves

• Six years of experience in Human Resources, customer service, or secretarial/administrative work.
• Previous Human Resources experience in an academic or hospital setting.
• One year of experience in recruitment support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field from an accredited program.

Responsibilities
