About The Position

Join us as a board-certified or residency-trained Neurologist at Dallas Animal Specialty Hospital in Dallas, TX and you’ll quickly discover that you’re well supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities and a talented team. You’ll be empowered to do your best work with a team you can count on. At VCA, the future of veterinary medicine is in our hands. This is a multi-specialty hospital with Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, and Critical Care, supported by a robust team of technicians dedicated to each service. The hospital is approximately 14,000 sq ft with 10 exam rooms, three procedure rooms, and an ICU for up to 20+ patients. Additional equipment includes hemoperfusion, apheresis, mechanical ventilation, and full in-house diagnostics. In Summer 2025, the hospital will be moving into a new, 23,000 sq ft building with 18 exam rooms and a 24-hour emergency department. The new facility will add a C-arm, and capabilities for interventional radiology and non-invasive procedures (PDA, Pacemakers, Urethral stents). A rotating internship will be offered starting in 2025, and the hospital is developing a clinical trials department, currently involved in many oncology clinical trials and expanding to the cardio and medicine services. The hospital is a member of the VCA Pet Cancer Care Alliance and utilizes hands-free digital radiology, echocardiogram, and ultrasound, and a TrueBeam Linear Accelerator. A network of specialists within VCA is available for support.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or residency-trained Neurologist
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in (state), or the ability to obtain
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
