About The Position

The Department of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks a board certified/board eligible physician to join our expanding Movement Disorders Division. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI. We are comprised of a nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
  • State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, essential tremor, and atypical parkinsonian syndromes.
  • Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) programming and botulinum toxin injections.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurosurgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.
  • Engage in clinical and/or translational research in movement disorders, with opportunities for collaboration within MCW’s robust research environment.
  • Participate in clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies, with institutional support for developing an independent research program.
  • Educate and mentor neurology residents, medical students, and movement disorders fellows through lectures, bedside teaching, and hands-on training.
  • Participate in educational initiatives and curriculum development within the Department of Neurology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate.
