About The Position

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a General Neurohospitalist to provide coverage at Morton Plant Hospital, a 600-bed facility located in Clearwater, Florida. Morton Plant Hospital is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by DNV GL Healthcare and has achieved quality awards by the American Stroke Association. Morton Plant Hospital averages 900 stroke alerts annually and is currently the only Comprehensive Stroke Center servicing mid-North Pinellas County. TeleSpecialists (teleneurology) currently handles all stroke alerts. The role involves coverage at one hospital with approximately 15 24-hour shifts per month. Collaboration with and outpatient coverage provided by BayCare Medical Group’s Neurology team as well as Neurology Physicians within the community is expected. Applicants should be comfortable with seeing a wide range of neurology patients and interpreting EEGs.

Requirements

• Board Certification/Board Eligibility by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• MD or DO.
• Ability to obtain a Florida medical license.

Responsibilities
