About The Position

INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Neurohospitalist (Inpatient Consult Neurologist) for a "week on/week off" employment model. Our consult NeuroHospitalist Service provides support for emergency care (Level II Trauma Center), certified comprehensive stroke center care, and inpatient care. This is an employed position with a competitive compensation model, offering a "week on/week off" schedule. The role involves providing direct patient care, including EEG reads and occasional lumbar punctures. The position is part of a physician-led medical group with a strong inpatient medical staff culture and collegial relationships with hospital administration.

Requirements

  • Oklahoma MD or DO license

Nice To Haves

  • EEG reads inc. continuous monitoring (2-7 combined daily)
  • Lumbar Punctures (occasional though necessary/labs first)

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately and documents information completely by use of written notes or dictation on a timely basis
  • Identifies relevant medical issues accurately and uses appropriate procedures and testing
  • Completes and maintains problem list, medication list, disease management forms, preventative maintenance flow sheets and other medical record forms
  • Participates in the quality improvement and medical management plans as directed by the Medical Operating Committee
  • Provides direction to staff members for an efficient and smooth running team
  • Ensures fiscal viability of the practice
  • Complies with policies and procedures if applicable.
  • The Physician is responsible for patients.

  • Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals.
  • Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and incidents of workplace violence.
  • Must follow universal safety precautions.
  • Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals.
