About The Position

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a BC/BE neurosurgeon with fellowship training in Open Cerebrovascular surgery in addition to Neuro-Endovascular surgery. Candidates with basic or translational research interests are encouraged to apply. Candidate will be expected to actively participate in the academic activities of the Department and College. This participation includes regular attendance at educational activities and mentorship of clinical and/or research post-doctoral fellows as well as graduate students. Candidate must be a fellowship trained Neurosurgeon and be BC/BE in Neurological Surgery, and eligible for a South Carolina medical license. The Department of Neurological Surgery at MUSC is a rapidly growing academic program located in beautiful Charleston South Carolina. Charleston is one of the most historic cities in the southeastern United States and offers a wide variety of recreational activities including swimming, sailing, kayaking, fishing and golf. There are numerous restaurants, and the Spoleto Festival brings exceptional cultural events to the area each year.

Requirements

BC/BE neurosurgeon with fellowship training in Open Cerebrovascular surgery in addition to Neuro-Endovascular surgery.
Fellowship trained Neurosurgeon.
BC/BE in Neurological Surgery.
Eligible for a South Carolina medical license.
Excellent clinical skills.
Board Certified or Board Eligible.
