About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform procedures and testing for patients of all ages, from newborns to nursing home residents. The role primarily performs EMG nerve conduction and EEG studies, and may also include intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and electroencephalography testing. The technologist must understand the testing equipment, its indications and physiological effects, and basic maintenance procedures. The position also includes monitoring patients and documenting appropriately in the medical record according to facility guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a department-approved training program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and recertification as required.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from an approved Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) program or similar education.
Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics, and electrical safety.
General knowledge of EEG and evoked-potential instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical and pharmacological conditions.
Experience in the area of specialty or applicable health care experience.

Responsibilities

Perform EMG nerve conduction and EEG studies.
Perform procedures or testing for patients across all patient populations.
May perform intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and/or electroencephalography testing.
Understand testing equipment, including its structure, indications for use, physiological effects on patients, and basic maintenance procedures.
Monitor patients and document appropriately in the medical record according to facility guidelines.
