About The Position

This is a full-time Neurodiagnostic Technologist position at Methodist Hospital with a 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 3x12 schedule with no weekends. Holiday coverage is rotated equally throughout the team. The role involves preparing and providing neurophysiological testing and monitoring in clinical, Neurotelemetry, and EMU settings according to departmental guidelines. The technologist will demonstrate knowledge of ICU, Epilepsy and seizure, neonatal, and typical neurophysiological patterns. They will work with minimal supervision when recording and monitoring patient data, report findings, and triage patient care needs. Maintaining high-quality recordings and troubleshooting techniques are essential. The role also includes collaborating with and precepting less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Requires a minimum of R.EEG T. or EP credentialing based on department requirements.
• Requires current BLS certification.
• Requires ability to meet all requirements of competencies in which Registries are held.
• Requires manual dexterity, visual acuity and the ability to concentrate for extended amounts of time under stressful conditions in order to properly and effectively administer Neurophysiological monitoring and testing.
• Requires the ability to recognize neurological comprising conditions and communicate those conditions to assure appropriate actions are taken.

Nice To Haves

• 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program is preferred.

Responsibilities
