Be a part of a world-class academic health-care system at UChicago Medicine as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist I in the Neurophysiology Department. Under direct supervision, the Neurodiagnostic Technologist I performs standard procedures in an outpatient setting or as a portable study in the ER, ICU, radiology or inpatient units. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I is responsible for the performance of all neurodiagnostic procedures in accordance with the technical standards set forth by the American Society of Neurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET), the American Electroencephalography Society (AEEGS). The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I is required to maintain and improve his/her level of clinical and technical knowledge. Documents patient history in electronic medical record according to ACNS and departmental guidelines. With minimal guidance the Neurodiagnostic Technologist I will be able to determine the correct montages, filter changes, and activation procedures to enhance epileptiform activity or waveform morphology. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I plays a role in the general flow and operation of the lab.
