Under general supervision, the Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs a variety of neurodiagnostic procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders. Responsibilities may include: Performing and assisting with EEGs, EMGs, evoked potentials, nerve conduction studies, and polysomnograms. Preparing patients and equipment for neurodiagnostic procedures. Monitoring and recording neurological activity accurately. Preparing descriptive reports of recorded activity for physician interpretation. Responding appropriately to patient needs and critical situations. Maintaining a professional and compassionate patient experience.
