Neurodiagnostic Tech - Evening Shift
About The Position
The Neurodiagnostic Tech interacts professionally with patients, physicians, and staff to effectively document suspected central nervous system disorders in a safe and caring environment. This role is responsible for Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM), Electroencephalography (EEG), and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS). The Neurodiagnostic Tech works with patients, staff, and physicians throughout the network to help physicians diagnose and treat conditions such as headaches, seizure disorders, dizziness, strokes, and neuropathies, and to test nerve function in spine and brain surgeries.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in an allied health related field (biology, chemistry, nursing, etc.) and no registry
- High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 2 years' related experience
- High School Diploma and approved registry from ABRET, AAET, ABEM, or BRPT
- Proficient in medical terminology
- Knowledgeable of human anatomy and physiology
- Computer and Microsoft Office skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Previous healthcare experience
- Registry from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist (ABRET), American Association of Electrodiagnostics Technologists (AAET), American Board Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM), or Board of Registered Polysomongraphic Technologists (BRPT)
- Bachelor's Degree in related field within one year of hire
