This includes applying electrodes, calibrating equipment, and selecting appropriate electrode combinations based on the patient's condition. The role also involves preparing patients for exams, gathering patient history, explaining procedures, and performing tests according to laboratory standards. The technician must recognize and manage artifacts, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform clerical duties such as scheduling and charge entry. Additionally, the position requires patient positioning and transporting, which involves lifting and pushing/pulling, and demonstrating knowledge of age-specific care.
