This position provides basic technical skills necessary to perform one or more of the following electroneurodiagnostic procedures: electroencephalogram (EEG), intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), long term monitoring (LTM), evoked potential (EP), and nerve conduction studies (NCV). The role involves performing electroneurodiagnostic studies according to written protocols, explaining procedures to patients, gathering medical history, applying electrodes, adjusting test protocols, identifying and correcting malfunctions, monitoring study data, preparing studies for interpretation, completing a technician impression sheet, editing and archiving recordings, performing routine and specialized procedures, and ensuring patient safety, privacy, and infection control.
