About The Position

Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technologist 3 to join the team. This role will be PRN. Requirements

• High School or GED
• Graduate from an accredited program for Electro-neurodiagnostic Technology and five years of experience in Neurodiagnostics or a Neurophysiological field is required
• Registry as a R.EEG.T. is required
• Basic Life Support Upon Start
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Upon Start
• Registry as a R.EEG.T
• Successful completion of examination for registration by ABRET (Electroencephalograph and/or Evoked Potential) or completion of examination
• 5 years of experience in the Neurodiagnostic field in an inpatient or office setting
• Experience performing advanced EEG/evoked potential studies

Nice To Haves

• One additional credential is preferred: R.EP.T. CLTM, CNIM
• An Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired

Responsibilities

• Writes a comprehensive patient history by gathering appropriate information from patients, patients' records and/or family members to include, but not be limited to, seizure types, date of last seizure and other neurological symptomatology and medications as documented in patients' charts.
• Conducts procedures at Inova Health System affiliated hospitals as requested. Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of patients at all times.
• Performs routine, ambulatory, neonatal exams, long-term video electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potentials, SPECT scans, WADA's and Tilt table with video EEGs.
• Conducts Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential studies by utilizing knowledge of audiology instrumentation and pattern recognition as well as Visual Evoked Potential studies.
