The Neurodiagnostic Specialist I works independently and proficiently in the preparation of patients for both routine, complex and long term AV/EEG monitoring or performing NCV’s and assisting with EMG’s. Performs data management by clipping, pruning, archiving and purging of EEG data after final report is signed by the attending. The Neurodiagnostic Specialist I also performs at least two of the four specialty procedures/testing including, intracranial EEG set-up and recording from implanted electrodes, assisting the physician with stimulation via intracranial electrodes, ECOG, and DBS recordings in the operating room, and recording in the radiology suite during a WADA test. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity at the University of Chicago Medical Center, specifically in our Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring department at Comer Children's Hospital.
