About The Position

The Neurodiagnostic Clinical Educator leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education programs that support neurodiagnostic services. This role oversees onboarding, competency validation, continuing education, clinical skills training, and professional development for neurodiagnostic staff. The Educator promoted clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and standardized practice while supporting the development, engagement, and retention of a highly skilled neurodiagnostic workforce.

• BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
• Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT) - American Board of Registration of EEG Technologist (ABRET)
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking, communication, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to work autonomously and efficiently under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while consistently exercising sound judgment and taking appropriate action.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist required.
• Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program or equivalent education and experience

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in clinical education, precepting, or leadership preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development, competency management, and/or workforce development preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Identifies and corrects artifacts. Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Attaches and connects electrodes on the head and EEG machine. Performs prescribed testing.
• Performs long-term video EEG monitoring on patients, demonstrating proficiency in the International 10-20 system.
• Performs job functions following the ‘Guidelines for EEG and Long Term Neuro-Diagnostic Monitoring in Epilepsy” as set by the American Society of Electro-Neuro-Diagnostic Technologists.
• Reviews patient's history and educates patient about procedure.
• Monitors and documents patient's condition and responds to and reports any seizure symptoms.
• Performs data retrieval and reduction operations and video EEG recordings prepared in a form suitable for interpretation by the physician.
