In accordance with professional standards of care and adhering to corporate philosophy of OSFMG, the advanced practice nurse/physician assistant shall be responsible for providing high quality patient care to the patients of OSF. This role involves exposure to a broad range of acute and complex neurological cases, primarily in inpatient neurocritical care. Responsibilities include comprehensive neurological assessments, daily rounding, histories and physicals, new consults, admissions, and discharges. The provider will perform procedures in collaboration with neurocritical care intensivists, prepare patients for surgery, manage postoperative care, and support smooth care transitions across the continuum. They will also develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with attending neurocritical care intensivists. The position offers a collaborative work environment with neurocritical care intensivists, residents, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, the role requires maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided to the Practice and its patients, maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Provider or other support staff, and exercising diligence in assisting the Ministry CEO in keeping costs of the Practice to a minimum while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients.
