About The Position

The IR Supervisor provides radiology services by directing and coordinating the services of IR procedures and overseeing the staff operating imaging equipment. They will perform radiology human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. They are responsible for communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions, recommending job contributions, recommending compensation expectations, and adhering to policies and procedures. Support staff by resolving radiology issues with physicians, radiologists, radiology technologists, and ancillary staff. They will maintain quality assurance programs for department functions. Provide a safe environment by monitoring radioactive exposure. Serve and protect the hospital community by ensuring adherence to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP). Responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under the direction of a physician including; extra-cranial and intra-cranial angiography, as well as all body angiography with possible vascular interventions. Requirements

  • Supervision of IR procedures and staff.
