This is a Registered Nurse 2 position in the Neuro ICU at the University of Rochester. The Neurosciences ICU is a state-of-the-art unit focusing on neurosurgical, interventional neurology, and medical neurology patients. Diagnoses include traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies. The role requires the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, challenging environment and demonstrates strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to staying current in critical care knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
- Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
- Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services.
- Assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
