About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Networking Engineer position for our client. This is an ongoing contract role that is fully remote. The primary duties involve restoring management access to enterprise network infrastructure devices, updating network devices to integrate with new SolarWinds servers, Cisco ISE nodes, TACACS/RADIUS servers, Syslog collectors, and NTP sources. The role also includes validating wired and wireless network connectivity, ensuring network monitoring, alerting, and logging services are operating correctly, and assisting with network stabilization, recovery efforts, and post-recovery troubleshooting. Documentation of all configuration changes and technical modifications is required. The engineer will collaborate with project teams to quickly assess, remediate, and stabilize Cisco network environments.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise with Cisco enterprise networking technologies.
  • Experience supporting Cisco Catalyst 9200 and 9300 switches.
  • Proficiency with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, TACACS/RADIUS, SolarWinds, Syslog, and NTP.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced recovery and remediation environments.
  • Willingness to support evening, overnight, and weekend project activities as needed.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise Cisco network environments.
  • CCNP-level networking knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
  • Proven experience with enterprise network recovery, remediation, and infrastructure stabilization.
  • Experience implementing and validating network monitoring and management solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

  • CCNP certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Cisco CCNP certification preferred.
