About The Position

Dezign Concepts is seeking a Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to design, modernize, secure, and sustain complex enterprise infrastructure across virtualized, networked, storage, backup, and forensic environments. The role involves applying deep enterprise systems expertise to identify technical and security risks, resolve complex problems, and translate customer requirements into dependable infrastructure. The engineer will be responsible for engineering and maintaining integrated solutions spanning operating systems, virtualization, networks, storage, backup, monitoring, and COTS/GOTS applications, bringing disciplined engineering, practical troubleshooting, and sound technical judgment to mission-critical environments.

Requirements

• Experience identifying possible technical or security problems and providing documented responses.
• Experience supporting technical requirements management.
• Experience performing complex problem-management research and issue resolution.
• Experience with multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and OSX.
• Experience with multiple hypervisors, including Hyper-V, ESX, and VirtualBox.
• Experience with Cisco operating systems, including IOS and NX-OS.
• Experience with Windows management technologies, including Active Directory, SCOM, and VMM.
• Experience with LAN and WAN deployments.
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Microsoft DPM and Arcserve Backup.
• Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN), including design, provisioning, capacity planning, and maintenance.
• Experience designing, engineering, testing, and implementing the migration of Hyper-V virtual machines from Windows Server 2008 to a Windows Server 2012 R2 clustered Hyper-V environment.
• Experience with LAN and WAN network design, including backup systems and disaster-recovery architectures.
• Experience evaluating hardware and software products against customer requirements for technical evaluation and potential procurement.
• Experience designing, engineering, implementing, and maintaining COTS/GOTS applications.
• Experience with network monitoring appliances.
• Experience automating administrative tasks through scripting.
• Active Top Secret w/Poly clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline—or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work experience.
• Experience with the Sponsor's security or IT systems.
• Shell scripting experience.
• SQL Server experience and familiarity with Oracle 10g/11g and MySQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 7, 8, and 10, and Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, and 2016.
• Experience using Microsoft System Center.
• Experience with storage systems, including NetApp and HP.
• Experience with VMware ESX.
• Experience with the various types of forensic software utilized by the Sponsor.
• Experience with HP servers and HP BladeSystem chassis.
• Experience providing recommendations concerning technical standards, security standards, and operational assurance.
• Experience providing recommendations during architecture and design reviews.
• Experience interfacing with vendors and third-party producers.
• Experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting customized forensic workstations.
• VMware certification and/or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

• Engineer LAN/WAN, Cisco, SAN, backup, monitoring, capacity, and disaster-recovery solutions for reliable operations.
• Evaluate technology, implement COTS/GOTS applications, automate administration, and document technical and security recommendations.
