Leidos has a new and exciting opportunity for a Network Systems Engineer in our Intelligence Sector, Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). Our talented team is at the forefront in Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Cryptographic Key Management. The Network Systems Engineer will support Cyber Security Defensive Operations through the engineering, integration, automation, and sustainment of a large-scale Cyber Range consisting of hundreds to thousands of virtual machines. This role focuses on designing, configuring, and maintaining networked cyber environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Ansible, VMware, and other automation technologies. You will work closely with Red, Hunt, Blue and JCMA Team operators to understand mission requirements and engineer Cyber Range environments that support training, force-on-force exercises, and the emulation of customer infrastructures. Working alongside Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, and System Administrators, you will develop and implement scalable, automated infrastructure solutions supporting complex cyber operations.When not supporting Cyber Range activities, you will contribute to mission operations within the Cyber Security Directorate's Defensive Network Operations organization by engineering, integrating, and sustaining operational network infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field plus 12 or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience engineering and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including networking technologies, virtualization, and operational environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Terraform and Ansible automation.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Batch.
  • Experience with Arista, Cisco, and Juniper networking platforms, along with configuring and integrating cybersecurity tools and operational network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, application behavior, and network traffic analysis in support of cyber operations.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Agile and/or DevOps environments.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container technologies.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing, Hunt, Red Team, or Defensive Cyber Operations.
  • Experience with Splunk administration or engineering.
  • Experience supporting Nutanix environments.
  • Experience supporting Defensive Cyber Security Operations.

Responsibilities
