About The Position

Sentinel Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Engineer with CCIE-level expertise in Routing and Switching. This is a high-impact, senior-level role requiring deep technical knowledge, strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced enterprise environment and play a key role in supporting and optimizing complex network infrastructures. This is a full-time remote role with occasional on-site support at the Downers Grove, Illinois office. Requirements

  • CCIE (Routing & Switching) certification or equivalent hands-on expertise
  • Experience in network engineering/support within enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and F5 load balancers
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in production environments
  • Experience mentoring or overseeing junior engineers
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Must have a car for travel between locations and transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
