About The Position
RUBICON TECHNICAL SERVICES is seeking an entry-level Network Specialist to join our growing team. This full-time, remote position, based in Kennesaw, offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within the Facilities Services industry. As a Network Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of our network infrastructure. In this role, you will support day-to-day network operations, help resolve connectivity issues, and collaborate with IT and facility teams to ensure seamless communication systems across our organization. We are looking for a motivated individual with a foundational understanding of networking principles and a strong desire to learn and develop technical expertise in a real-world environment. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive onboarding, mentorship, and hands-on experience with modern network technologies. This remote role allows you to work from home while collaborating with a dedicated team, and we offer a competitive salary range of $85,400 - $102,800 per year (USD), based on experience, plus opportunities for professional advancement.
Requirements
- Entry-level experience or foundational knowledge of computer networking concepts
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network protocols
- Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving network technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
- Self-motivated and disciplined when working in a remote environment
- Ability to follow technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Basic knowledge of network security principles and best practices
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Nice To Haves
- Relevant certifications or coursework in networking (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential connectivity issues
- Assist in troubleshooting network incidents and implementing effective resolutions
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects
- Respond to user requests regarding network access, connectivity, and security
- Participate in routine network maintenance activities, including updates and patches
- Assist with implementing network best practices to optimize reliability and performance
- Escalate complex network issues to senior specialists while following established protocols
- Support the integration of network systems with facility services applications and tools
