About The Position

RUBICON TECHNICAL SERVICES is seeking an entry-level Network Specialist to join our growing team. This full-time, remote position, based in Kennesaw, offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within the Facilities Services industry. As a Network Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, performance, and security of our network infrastructure. In this role, you will support day-to-day network operations, help resolve connectivity issues, and collaborate with IT and facility teams to ensure seamless communication systems across our organization. Requirements

  • Entry-level experience or foundational knowledge of computer networking concepts
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network protocols
  • Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving network technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration
  • Self-motivated and disciplined when working in a remote environment
  • Ability to follow technical documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Basic knowledge of network security principles and best practices
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications or coursework in networking (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential connectivity issues
  • Assist in troubleshooting network incidents and implementing effective resolutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects
  • Respond to user requests regarding network access, connectivity, and security
  • Participate in routine network maintenance activities, including updates and patches
  • Assist with implementing network best practices to optimize reliability and performance
  • Escalate complex network issues to senior specialists while following established protocols
  • Support the integration of network systems with facility services applications and tools
