About The Position

The Network Analyst I is responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining TELUS Business Products and Services equipment. This role supports the delivery of enterprise-grade networking solutions to TELUS Business customers, ensuring systems are properly configured, tested, and optimized for performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in network administration, systems support, or related technical role
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with configuration management and network protocols
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation and schematics
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required for on-site visits)

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology or related field
  • CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent
  • Experience with TELUS products and services
  • Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, or other routing protocols
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and SNMP
  • Experience with Linux/Unix command-line operations
  • Vendor certifications (Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, or similar)
  • Customer service experience in a technical support environment

Responsibilities

  • Configure network equipment including gateways, switches, firewalls, and related hardware according to technical specifications and customer requirements
  • Set up and initialize TELUS Business Services equipment for new customer installations, upgrades and repairs
  • Perform initial provisioning and baseline configurations on network devices
  • Document all configuration changes and maintain accurate records
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment configuration issues and connectivity problems
  • Provide second-level technical support to field teams and customers
  • Validate equipment functionality through testing and quality assurance protocols
  • Participate in network optimization and performance tuning activities
  • Monitor network equipment health and performance metrics
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and firmware updates
  • Conduct equipment audits and inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with TELUS security and operational standards
  • Work with network engineering teams to implement design specifications
  • Communicate technical status and issues to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Participate in knowledge transfer and documentation efforts
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
