This position leads Honda's global Firewall Management team responsible for securing enterprise IT, manufacturing OT, connected products, and partner ecosystems. It coordinates the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of firewall services, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. The role collaborates with global technology teams to develop secure network architectures, manage firewall policies, monitor security threats, and maintain service availability. It provides technical leadership, coaching, and operational oversight while driving best practices, risk reduction, and continuous improvement across Honda’s global firewall environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
At least 8 or more years in network security or infrastructure operations, including 2+ years leading technical teams.
Expertise in firewall technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, SSL, IPSec, IDS/IPS, and network security principles.
Experience in incident response, risk management, and security operations.
Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and cloud security (e.g. - Azure / AWS).
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the global firewall management team through coaching, performance management, training, and workload prioritization.
Define, implement, and enforce firewall standards, policies, and governance aligned with Honda cybersecurity requirements.
Partner with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to design and deploy secure network architectures.
Oversee firewall operations, performance monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure security, reliability, and availability.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution of firewall and network security issues.
Manage escalations, vendor relationships, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while meeting established service levels.
