About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Network Security Engineer to join their talented team. This role involves providing guidance and technical support to clients deploying security integrations, acting as a technical partner to offer strategic guidance on complex systems, and interacting directly with clients to suggest integrations aligned with their success. The engineer will contribute to the development of new principles and concepts by analyzing product integrations, and will be involved in implementation work, proactively resolving issues, and adhering to best practices. The role requires creativity, innovation, and a passion for learning how integrations can work better with new products and technologies.

Panorama/NGFW Expertise
Strong Networking Skills
Checkpoint Migration Experience
Senior-Level Experience in Engineering
Excellent Communications, Interpersonal, and Relationship-Building Skills
Consultative Approach (providing professional advice or recommendations)
Extensive experience with Panorama and log collectors.
Strong knowledge of NGFW and GlobalProtect.
BS in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent education/training/experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with network/security solutions and technologies (BGP, SD-WAN concepts, VXLAN, and general routing and switching).
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading security solutions in large environments.
Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, ideally PAN products.
Expertise in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies.
Good understanding of Internet protocols and applications.
Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and work calmly under pressure.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with demonstrable ability to communicate with senior leaders and technical peers.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and technical support to clients deploying security integrations.
Act as the technical partner, providing strategic guidance around complex systems to secure a digital environment.
Interact directly with clients, working closely with their teams to suggest integrations that align with their success.
Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts, providing detailed analysis of what’s working, what’s not, and what could be improved.
Engage in implementation work, proactively resolving potential issues, and adhering to best practices.
Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, peers, engineering, and support teams.
Understand the customer environment, requirements, and security roadmap to implement the appropriate security solution.
Configure, implement, and maintain the Security Operating Platform.
Optimize and migrate policies and objects from the existing environment to our Next-Gen Firewall.
Test and validate the migration environment.
Coordinate and execute cutover to production.
Provide guidance on code upgrades.
Facilitate the development of new application and threat signatures.
Interact with the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to understand and resolve support cases.
Work with the customer’s security and network teams to build confidence across business units impacted by changes to PAN products.
