Network Security Engineer (onsite)
About The Position
This is a temporary project role for a Network Security Engineer located onsite in Juno Beach, FL. The project is estimated to last 12 months with possible extensions. The role requires 100% of the time to be spent at the client's site, with no telecommuting or remote work. Candidates must be able to relocate as required. The engineer will assist with business requirement assessments for new projects requested by NEER subsidiaries, deploy/implement network solutions, and contribute hands-on to network infrastructure implementation. Responsibilities include creating as-built design documentation, maintaining the availability and integrity of the enterprise network security infrastructure, and ensuring security and compliance with industry standards. The role involves collaboration with NextEra's engineering and architecture groups, working with project teams to define requirements, and partnering with Architects to ensure integration of application/infrastructure architectures with enterprise blueprints and roadmaps. Projects will support infrastructure for battery, wind, solar, and fossil plants.
Requirements
- Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL
- Experience with Palo Alto
- Experience with Firewalls
- Experience with Panorama
- Experience with Ansible
- Experience with Automation
- Experience with network security standards (NERC CIP, SOX, PCI)
- Experience in ensuring integration of application / infrastructure architectures with enterprise blueprints and roadmaps
Nice To Haves
- Experience in energy / utilities / industrial (OT) environments
Responsibilities
- Assist with business requirement assessment of new projects requested by NEER subsidiaries and help deploy/implement network solutions.
- Contribute in a hands-on manner with the implementation of network infrastructure.
- Create as-built design documentation for all new projects and maintain the availability and integrity of our enterprise network security infrastructure.
- Maintain the security of network infrastructure and compliance with all applicable industry and security standards (NERC CIP, PCI, SOX etc.).
- Collaborates with NextEra’s engineering and architecture groups; works with project team members to define requirements and deliver projects.
- Partners with Architects and project teams, to ensure integration of application / infrastructure architectures with enterprise blueprints and roadmaps.
