Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewall configuration and management.
  • Strong experience with deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls in cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies.
  • Proven experience with other security devices and platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Public Trust (T2) security clearance level.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or AWS Certified Security - Specialty are a plus.
  • Experience with network monitoring and security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage security measures to protect network and information systems.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Deploy and manage Palo Alto firewalls in cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and potential threats, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and mitigate potential threats.
  • Work with other IT and security team members to design, implement, and maintain security frameworks.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of configurations, changes, and security incidents.
