Requirements

  • 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, including incident response and security monitoring
  • Proficient with security event analysis, triage, and incident documentation
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Arcsight, QRadar, NetWitness, Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm)
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and threat detection methodologies
  • Experience in threat detection, security investigations, and related disciplines
  • Solid understanding of malware, phishing, attack vectors, and network security controls

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or a related field
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+, GCIH, GCIA, CSA, SC-200, or similar
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Security Suite, endpoint protection (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), and cloud security (Google Wiz, MDCA, Cortex Cloud)
  • Knowledge of query and scripting languages: KQL, Lucene, SPL, PowerShell, Python, Bash

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, triage, and analyze cybersecurity alerts using SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and cloud security platforms
  • Investigate, validate, and prioritize security incidents, escalating confirmed threats per established protocols
  • Correlate events across multiple data sources to detect, contain, and eradicate threats
  • Review and analyze indicators of compromise, phishing attempts, malware, and anomalous activity
  • Document investigations and response actions in ticketing and case management systems
  • Collaborate with incident response teams and stakeholders for rapid mitigation and recovery
  • Continuously improve threat detection through alert tuning, process refinement, and threat intelligence integration
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation prioritization
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, playbooks, and knowledge base articles
  • Research emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices
