About The Position
The objective of this engagement is to provide specialized network and cyber Security administration support to ensure state agencies maintain secure, compliant, and modern network infrastructures. This role focuses on the mitigation of operational challenges, hardware lifecycles, and the execution of critical security requests. The Contractor shall perform network security tasks for various state agencies, specifically focusing on administrative daily responsibilities, infrastructure modernization, compliance maintenance, and hardware administration.
Requirements
- Palo Alto Firewalls: Next-generation firewall features such as, Zones, security policies, S2S VPN, Natting, and basic threat prevention
- Cisco ASA Firewalls: Configuration, troubleshooting, and rule management.
- General Networking: foundational knowledge of routing protocols, subnetting, OSI model ETC..
- Must be able to pass Criminal, financial backgrounds and drug test
Responsibilities
- Review and execution of Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break-fix tickets, and formal change requests.
- Facilitating the decommissioning and "refresh" of End-of-Life (EOL) hardware on a recurring basis.
- Implementing security controls and configurations to ensure agencies remain in alignment with IRS, FBI, and CJI compliance standards.
- Technical configuration and management of Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
